Pass Plus
You've passed your driving test - Well done. One of life's major milestones. Now you can drive on your own at last. But it doesn't stop there; this is just the end of the beginning. Getting your own car will give you the independence you need. However, statistics show that new drivers are more likely to have a crash in the first two years after passing their test than at any other time in their driving life. Therefore as a new driver, the cost of insurance can be very high. Age doesn't matter; it's basically down to a lack of driving experience.
Pass Plus is a training scheme for new drivers. It is supported by Perth and Kinross Council, who offer grant assistance towards the cost of this invaluable course. This specially designed course by the Driving Standards Agency (DSA), with the support of insurers and the driving instruction industry will help you to get one step ahead of the rest! Your driving instructor must be fully qualified and Pass Plus registered to permit them to offer a Pass Plus course to you.
As Pass Plus specialists, we generally cover the training in 3x2 hour sessions but can also cover the course in a full day's training. The day includes plenty of breaks and, of course, time for lunch.
Pass plus requires a minimum of 6 hours training to be successfully undertaken and you must achieve competence in each module to pass the course. There is no test but extra hours may be required to achieve the required standard.
